26-year-old David Huggins and his wife 23-year-old Felicia Lewis died following an accident that occured in Bartica. At the time,
both were on a motorcycle when they collided with a car. According to the Police, the car, PRR 5669, was proceeding South along the road and failed to stop at the Stop sign. It is alleged Huggins was speeding when he collided with the right-side of the car.

Both Huggins and his wife were picked up by public-spirited persons in an unconscious state and taken to the Bartica Regional Hospital where the woman was pronounced dead.
Huggins remained unconscious; he suffered severe head trauma and was air-dashed to the city hospital by the Guyana Defense Force. He later succumbed to his injuries.
