The accident occurred about 23:00hrs at Bush Cow Landing, Imbamadai.

Reports are that Henry was one of four passengers travelling in a wooden boat captained by a twenty- four- year- old Miner of Kabauri Village, heading from Imbamadai Landing to Beanamarupai Backdam.  While in the vicinity of Bush Cow Landing the boat collided with a floating log, which caused Henry to be thrown from the boat and another passenger to receive head injuries.

A search was launched for Henry Sunday morning when his motionless body was found and retrieved from the Mazaruni River, in the vicinity of the mishap.

The body was then transported to the Imbamadai Health Post where it awaits Post Mortem Examination.
Investigation is ongoing.
