-New self-service kiosk making it easier to pay your bills and top up

With a mandate to make doing business easier for its customers, the Guyana Telephone and Telegraph Company (GTT) has introduced ‘GTT Express’, a self-service kiosk from which customers can pay their bills and ‘top up’ in less than three minutes.

Over the years GTT has rolled out several innovative initiatives aimed at reliably connecting our customers making it easier conducting transactions at our retail locations as well as locations across Guyana, with increasing ease and convenience. With the first kiosk in GTT’s 55 Brickdam stores, followed by others in the later months, the company is seeking to reduce the time a customer spends ‘in store’, conducting top ups and bill payment transactions, GTT said in a press release.

According to GTT’s Chief Operations Officer for Mobile, Richard Stanton, the self-service kiosk is one of the ongoing initiatives GTT has in place in keeping with its promises of innovating for all of our country and reliably connecting our customers. “The GTT Express kiosk is an easier and faster alternative to top up and pay your bills when visiting any of our retail stores and key areas. We have made it easier for you to complete your transaction in under 3 minutes, and will continue to develop innovative solutions for our customers and country,” Stanton stated.

GTT customers are invited to use the new ‘GTT Express’. Upon entering the store, simply head to the well identified ‘Express Zone’, tap the screen to begin and select the transaction to ‘top up’, ‘pay your bill – or do both. To top up, customers enter your phone number, select payment method (cash, debit or credit card) and amount needed. For bill payments, customers  scan their bill or enter the account information. The kiosk will prompt customers throughout the interaction sat the kiosk and will advise on ‘next steps’ to quickly pay with cash or debit or credit card. Customers can then choose to print a receipt at the kiosk, send it via email or SMS to a selected contact. It should be noted our GTT customer team will be there to help guide throughout the steps if needed. It should be noted that this is just Phase One of the kiosk project for GTT. In the coming months, this project will be expanded to include more locations and functionalities all aimed at making it easier and faster for customers to complete their GTT transactions.
