Deceased: Roy Ross

A 23-year-old man of Swan, Kuru Kururu, Soesdyke-Linden Highway was found with multiple stab wounds at his home on Monday morning.

Dead is Roy Ross, a father of two who originally hails from Wanaina Hill, North West District. Reports are that the man was found by relatives in a pool of blood and persons suspect that the prime suspect/s are from the area. Ross lived with a woman with whom he shares a child and sometime on Sunday night she went to check on him since she was sleeping at her relatives’ home.

Ross was plucking chickens at the time of his death and persons believe that it may have stemmed from an argument he had with two other persons on Sunday. The man sustained more than 12 stab wounds, a neighbour in the village told the Village Voice.

Police have arrested two men in connection with the man’s death. In recent months, the village of Swan has been the scene of several crimes. In mid-March, 19-year-old Kameel Calistro was stabbed multiple times by a male following an argument over who can dance better. Later that month, a car which was suspected to have been the getaway vehicle in the murder of biker Ricardo Fagundes, was set afire at a desolate area in the village.
