ST. JOHN’S, Antigua – Cricket West Indies (CWI) is inviting fans to make the Guyana National Stadium in Providence the place to be over the coming week as the West Indies take on New Zealand in the opening three matches of a highly anticipated One-Day International Series.

With every match beginning at 2:30PM, supporters can enjoy a full afternoon and evening of international cricket, entertainment and themed match-day experiences designed for families, friends and cricket lovers alike.
Whether you’re waving your flag, leaving work early, or bringing the children for a day of fun, every match promises its own unique atmosphere as the Men in Maroon look to build momentum on home soil.
The series opens on Saturday, July 11 with a celebration of national pride on what has been dubbed “Guyana Day”, where fans being encouraged to wear their Guyana colours, bring their coolers, and wave their flags at an unforgettable day at the cricket.
With ladies able to enjoy free admission for Guyana Day and children (16 and under) free for every match as part of CWI’s “Kids FREE” programme, it’s the perfect opportunity for families to rally behind the West Indies while showcasing the vibrant spirit of Guyana.
On Monday, July 13, individuals are encouraged to make the appropriate arrangements to leave the office early, gather their colleagues, friends and crew, pack coolers and “Duck Work” for an exciting afternoon and evening of West Indies cricket.
The Guyana leg concludes with a nostalgic Throwback Thursday celebration on Thursday, July 16, blending classic Caribbean vibes with family entertainment.
CWI’s Events Manager Dario Barthley said the themed match days are designed to make attending West Indies cricket about far more than what happens between the boundary ropes.
“We want every match to feel like an event that brings people together. Whether you’re coming with your family, co-workers, friends or cricket crew, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. We’ve created three unique occasions that reflect the fun, energy and togetherness of West Indies cricket.”
