Dear editor,
A figure who looked very much like the President of Guyana was featured in print as a special guest aboard a US warship. This ship is said to be assigned to act in accordance with U.S. policy on Cuba. Assuming the person to be the President of Guyana, it must be said that this is an unfortunate development. Whether the hospitality was that of a comrade, a client, or a clown, it let the majority of Guyanese down. I make this judgment because the situation borders on a war crime.
Yours sincerely,
Eusi Kwayana
