Massy Stores (Guyana) Inc. is celebrating alongside grand prize winner Shane Singh, who drove away with a brand-new 2025 Hyundai Creta Advance SUV following the conclusion of the company’s Christmas Jackpot Promotion.

The highly anticipated campaign, which lasted from November 1 to January 31, 2026, rewarded customers with one entry coupon for every $8,000 spent at Massy Stores (Guyana) Inc., generating strong participation throughout the holiday season. Singh’s name was drawn as the grand prize winner, and the official vehicle handover took place at Massy Stores Ruimveldt.

“Honestly, I’m still in shock,” Singh said. “I was just doing my regular shopping and didn’t expect anything like this. It really means a lot. I’m thankful to Massy Stores for the opportunity.”

The promotion underscored the strong connection between Massy Stores and its customers, with thousands participating for a chance to win.

“Our goal with the Christmas Jackpot Promotion each year, is to bring excitement into the shopping experience while giving customers a real chance to win during the festive season. From concept to rollout, we focus on making the campaign accessible, fun and rewarding,” said Chrystel Taylor, Marketing and Promotions Coordinator at Massy Stores (Guyana) Inc.

Christpen Bobb-Semple, Assistant Vice President & General Manager, Massy Stores (Guyana) Inc, expressed appreciation to customers while highlighting the wider impact of the initiative.

“The Christmas Jackpot Promotion reflects our broader focus on creating retail experiences that are engaging, rewarding and relevant to our customers. At Massy Stores (Guyana) Inc., we see innovation in how we connect with shoppers and communities. Campaigns like this reinforce our commitment to delivering value while strengthening long-term loyalty and trust in the Massy brand,” he said.

Apart from the grand prize giveaway, 10 lucky customers also walked away with consolation prizes, which included refrigerators, 6-burner gas stoves, and washing machines.

With the Christmas Jackpot Promotion now concluded, Massy Stores (Guyana) Inc. has launched its Valentine Campaign with The Sweetheart Promotion, offering customers another opportunity to win. This time, prizes focus on local experiences, including trips for two to Kaieteur Falls, a Five Island Hopping Tour Adventure, and Arrow Point Nature Resort.

The shift from Caribbean travel prizes to local destinations reflects the company’s commitment to supporting local tourism, empowering local operators, and contributing to national development by encouraging Guyanese to explore and invest in their own country.

Speaking of the new promotion, Bobb-Semple said, “At Massy Stores (Guyana) Inc., we are proud to launch the Sweetheart Promotion as more than just a seasonal campaign, it is a celebration of community and country. By encouraging experiences that highlight local destinations, we are actively supporting domestic tourism and showcasing the beauty and vibrancy of Guyana. We believe in investing in initiatives that create memorable moments for our customers while contributing meaningfully to national development.” (Release)
