Blackouts Plague Community Despite ‘Fastest Growing Economy’ Status

Dear Editor,

This area made up of lower and mid income citizens, had a blackout again at about 11am, today 17th October, a disgusting and regular feature. This area has a hospital, Davis memorial, an old folk’s home, a primary and secondary school, two nursery schools and the Convalescence home. On one of my journeys abroad, friends expressed with envy, that we are the fastest growing economy, where money from oil, gold and borrowings means that money is not a problem.

Our PPP government invested massive sums and brought in two Turkish ships to boost our generating capacity. Dear Editor, could you help by explaining why we are still suffering, and I mean suffering from these irritating blackouts. A technician at the Davis Hospital said that at the hospital lights were going on and off, please Mr Editor why is this happening.
