The Guyana Online Academy of Learning (GOAL) is pleased to announce the launch of its 2026 Call for Scholarship Applications, opening on October 1, 2025. Through this new intake, thousands of Guyanese will have the opportunity to pursue higher education and skills training across a wide range of programmes fully funded by the Government of Guyana.

The first application phase will run from October 1 to October 31, 2025, for vocational/certificate programmes and the Get Ready for Opportunities to Work (GROW) initiative. More than 100 short, skills-based programmes will be offered through GOAL’s partner institutions, requiring no formal education for entry. The GROW initiative will provide three pathways: Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework (SCQF Level 6), Bachelor’s Foundation Programme (BFP), and the US High School Diploma, all designed to prepare participants for entry into Bachelor’s degree programmes.

Applications for Bachelor’s degree programmes will be open from November 1 to December 31, 2025, while postgraduate programmes will accept applications from December 1, 2025 to January 31, 2026.

This year, GOAL has adopted a phased rollout to ensure improved application management and to provide applicants with clear guidance throughout the process. This approach ensures that every eligible Guyanese has an equal opportunity to successfully complete their application.

GOAL remains committed to expanding access to higher education and skills development for every Guyanese, regardless of their background or community. This call for applications reaffirms our mission to build the nation’s human capacity.

Since its inception in 2021, the Guyana Online Academy of Learning has awarded over 39,000 scholarships to citizens across the country in certificate, Diploma, Bachelor’s, Postgraduate, Master’s, and PhD programmes.
