A Partnership for National Unity (APNU) has officially announced its 12-member parliamentary team for Guyana’s 13th Parliament, with well-known entrepreneur Dr. Terrence Campbell tapped to lead the delegation in the National Assembly.

The announcement was made today by APNU Chairman and Representative of the party’s List for the 2025 General and Regional Elections, Aubrey Norton, at a press conference in Georgetown. Norton described the selection process as one informed by “wide consultation” and highlighted the team’s mix of seasoned politicians, professionals, and grassroots leaders.

Heading the team is Dr. Campbell, founder of the Camex Group, who brings to Parliament a background in finance, logistics, and entrepreneurship. His appointment marks a significant move by the party to blend private sector leadership with political representation.

“The team reflects a balance of experience, diversity, and regional representation,” Norton said. “This team will represent the interests of ordinary Guyanese while advancing policies to ensure fairness, opportunity, and development for all.”

Among the returning members are veteran trade unionist Coretta McDonald, A.A., known for her advocacy in workers’ rights; Ganesh Mahipaul, an outspoken executive within the PNCR; and Hon. Nima Natacha Flue-Bess, a committed educator and youth advocate.

New faces on the list include political commentator and academic Dr. David Hinds; Riaz Zakeer Rupnarain, a career educator and youth representative; and Sherod Avery Duncan, a communications specialist. The inclusion of figures such as Linden Mayor Sharma Raheem Solomon and attorney and peace ambassador Dr. Dexter Todd further signals the party’s emphasis on regional and professional diversity.

Also joining the team are gospel artiste and entrepreneur Saiku Andrews, and PNCR Vice-Chairman Vinceroy H. Jordan, representing Region Five.

Norton reiterated the party’s policy focus, stating that the MPs share a united commitment to “accountability, governance reform, education, economic empowerment, and grassroots advocacy.”

With the next sitting of Parliament on the horizon, all eyes will now be on how this new APNU team positions itself in what is expected to be a critical legislative period for Guyana’s future.
