QC Boys Soar: Adrian Conquers CSEC, Roberts Reigns at CAPE

Two Queen’s College students have made history with their extraordinary performances at this year’s regional examinations, cementing the school’s legacy as a powerhouse of academic excellence.

Adrian’s 27-Subject Masterclass

At just 16, Jayden Adrian stunned the Caribbean by sitting 27 CSEC subjects and emerging with 21 Grade Ones and 6 Grade Twos. His determination, he said, was fueled by a vision of earning a scholarship to study abroad.

“Right now I am feeling very fulfilled because this is all that I have been working for the past two years, and I couldn’t have settled for anything less given all the hard work I put in,” Adrian told reporters.

His bold choice, he added, was driven by ambition:

“The main reason I did 27 subjects was to achieve a scholarship from government so I can study abroad… I have an interest in Mechanical Engineering and Aeronautics.”

Roberts Raises the Bar at CAPE

Meanwhile, Arthur Roberts, who captured national attention in 2023 with 17 Grade Ones and 5 Grade Twos at CSEC, has again risen to the top—this time as Guyana’s best-performing CAPE student for 2025. Roberts scored 9 Grade Ones and 4 Grade Twos in his second year.

He credited his success to teamwork and support:

“My motivation mainly came from the community I had around me, which included my teachers, parents, family members, colleagues in school and even members of the different associations related to Queen’s College … they not only pushed me or guided me but carried me to this point.”

Adrian and Roberts are more than academic champions—they are role models for Guyana’s youth. Their achievements underscore the importance of discipline, community, and bold ambition in shaping the next generation of leaders.
