As Emancipation Day was commemorated across Guyana, a profound spiritual question is being posed to African families in the diaspora: Who truly gets the honor from the holidays your family celebrates? This thought-provoking inquiry lies at the heart of a growing movement to return to the divine calendar given in the Scriptures—one that predates colonialism and slavery.

At the ACDA Emancipation Festival on August 1st, 2025, local author and spiritual educator Athalyah Yisrael officially launched her first book:
The Creator’s 7 Holy Appointed Seasons: A Practical Guide for African Families in the Diaspora “Desiring to Learn and Keep the Creator’s Calendar from the Bible to Restore What Slavery Buried”

Written as a manual for families seeking to reconnect with the Creator’s original calendar, the book offers a practical pathway to reclaiming the spiritual traditions buried during the transatlantic slave trade.

Athalyah is no stranger to impactful transformation. As Co-Founder of Outliers Zone Caribbean; a training institute birthed with her husband, Mr. Gabriel Yisrael—together they mastermind a powerful financial empowerment movement that has impacted over 17,000 families across Guyana since 2018. Through their programs, African families are equipped to build wealth through Financial Independence Retire Early (F.I.R.E.) education, Early Retirement planning, generational money management, and legacy-centered financial literacy. Now, with this book, she returns to the spiritual roots of liberation—calling families not just to financial freedom, but also to spiritual remembrance.

A wife of eight years and mother of four, Yisrael refers to her children as “divine beings” and describes their household as one grounded in the commandments of the Creator. Their lifestyle reflects the ancient patterns outlined in Leviticus 23, a rhythm that has brought clarity, miracles, and deep family bonding.

“The movement isn’t about religion,” Yisrael shares. “It’s about remembering. It’s about restoring what was buried during slavery—the calendar, the culture, and the connection to the Most High.”

This new release is more than a book. It is a call to African families everywhere to elevate spiritually, morally, physically, and economically. With clear guidance, cultural relevance, and a passionate voice, the book encourages families to transition from man-made traditions back to the divine appointments that belong to them by heritage.
