Hu Chunhua, vice chairman of the CPPCC National Committee, presided over the opening meeting and called on all members of the CPPCC National Committee’s Standing Committee to engage in in-depth discussions and offer suggestions about deepening economic reforms in a bid to advance Chinese modernization.

It is important to fully understand the significance of deepening economic reforms for advancing Chinese modernization, said He Lifeng, a member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Chinese vice premier, who was invited to attend the meeting and deliver a report.

He highlighted concrete reforms concerning a high-standard socialist market economy, high-quality economic development, macroeconomic governance, high-level opening up, and ecological progress.
