Dear Editor,

Raise pension for both private and public sectors after years of contributing to nation building. Both private and public sectors work hard and their relevant pensions should be similar and must be increased to combat inflation which has increased over the years.

Also any person who has displayed the will to serve his country at a Parliamentary level and has been selected/elected should immediately be able to access that type of pension. This must be addressed now to match with other nations, both our neighbours and globally.

Looking at cultures, a pensioner ever so often is the lone breadwinner in a large extended family, comprising of a grandfather, grandmother, children, step-children, grand-children, cousins and friends in one household.

Cost of living and education has gone up and the ever reliant pension should too.

Yours truly,

Ishmael Tarouba
