The release of the final grades come following the controversy of surrounding the grading of the exams following changes made to maneuver the COVID-19 pandemic. A number of requests were subsequently made for reviews.

“Throughout the review process, we have endeavored to be thorough and to comply with our quality assurance processes. At this time, 80 percent of Requests for Reviews have been completed. On 31 December 2020, final results were shared with CXC Local Registrars and on 4 January 2021, CXC will release grades to students via the online student portal,” the Council stated in a release on Monday.

It noted its appreciation for the patience, understanding and feedback of stakeholders. The Council also committed itself to listening to and engaging with each stakeholder group for the mutual benefit of all stakeholders.

The Council stated: “CXC is currently in dialogue with the Ministries of Education across the region to finalise details for the administration of the regional examinations in 2021. These details will be shared with our stakeholders and made public within the coming weeks.
