In a statement issued by the Parliament Office, it was explained that a team of Parliamentary Officials, inclusive of Carlleta Charles, Parliamentary Executive Officer, and Ean McPherson, Personal Assistant to the Speaker of the National Assembly, distributed toys to the children in the communities.

Charles shared greetings on behalf of Speaker. The children expressed their appreciation, through applause, to Speaker for his initiative.

During the distribution process, McPherson shared his dance moves with the children as they sang a few Christmas carols.

The parliamentary team was assisted by community organisers who made it possible for the children to receive their toys. The Speaker’s Christmas Outreach Programme aims to distribute toys to 7000 children in Guyana.
