China Premier calls for intl cooperation on robots

(ECNS)- Premier Li Qiang called for strengthening international cooperation to promote the development of robotics during a visit on Sunday to the 2024 World Robot Conference in Beijing.

He said that China would like to create an open and innovative ecosystem to support foreign enterprises and research institutions in investing and operating in the country as well as deepening their engagement in the Chinese market.

The premier visited the exhibition booths of companies from home and abroad, including ABB, Kuka, Siasun and CITIC Heavy Industries, to learn about the performance, technical capabilities and applications of their products.

Li said that China should give full play to its strength of a large market and diverse application scenarios, and incorporate the development of robots into digital transformation, intelligent manufacturing projects and large-scale equipment upgrades.
