As protests continue, questions mount over the sinking of the MV Barima

The Caribbean Guyana Institute for Democracy (CGID) has come out in support of former Opposition Leader, Joseph Harmon, blasting People’s Progressive Party/Civic (PPP/C)  Central Committee Member, Nigel Dharamlall’s claim he has joined the party.
Dharamlall, in a post on his facebook, showing a photo of Harmon at Cricket, has a message above stating, “Joe Harmon is on board. All are welcome.”
CGID, supporting Harmon’s statement lambasted the “rape accused, former Local Government Minister, Nigel Dharamlall’s, [statement] as depraved, desperate and malicious. “
Harmon has fired back. He told HGP Nightly News, “I am a member of the PNC and the  only party I have ever been a member and I have no intention of ever supporting the PPP….Dharamlall is wicked and mischievous and as a member of the PPP Central Committee reveals a level of desperation in that party.”
CGID also touched on the issue that several persons have accused the government of directing the management of the Providence Stadium , which is hosting the International Cricket, to cover all the seats in the VIP box red which is the PPP’s party color. The organisation said persons have expressed the view the PPP is attempting to impose a one party state and ethnic supremacy in Guyana, that is akin to white supremacy in the United States
Harmon was Minister of State in the David Granger/Moses Nagamootoo government.
