AFC Congratulates Guyana’s 2024 CARIFTA Athletes

The Alliance For Change (AFC) congratulates the 2024 CARIFTA  Guyanese athletes on the outstanding performance.

In a statement AFC notes the outstanding performances of the Guyana team of athletes which brought home four gold medals, two silvers and one bronze medal at the CARIFTA games in Grenada is deserving of our highest national praise.

“The record-breaking performance of the under 20 4X400 mixed team relay team was

simple exceptional. Our athletes have made the strongest case ever for increased investment in sports in general and in athletes in particular.”

AFC says it wishes to congratulate the entire team of athletes who represented Guyana so well and wishes to support the call for the strategic development of training, coaching, sports administrators and managers in the development of all disciplines of sports.

“We encourage the commencement of a situational analysis leading to a new strategic vision and planning framework for sports.”
