The National Schools’ Championships Track and Field Events were held at the Leonora Track and Field Centre from November 29 to December 2, 2022.

Lynch hails from Hopetown on the West Coast of Berbice.

During an interview with the Ministry of Education, when asked about how he feels about copping a gold for the Boys 100m under-20, Angus stated, “It feels great honestly..real nice”.

Further, he was asked if he was expecting to take home the gold, and he said, “yes, but I know the competition is stiff, anything could have happened. I am glad I crossed the line first and brought home the gold.”

For aspiring athletes, Angus’ advice was, “to everyone out there who is trying to be a good  athlete, just know that you will only be better, if you try.”
