North West teen seriously wounded

Police are investigating an alleged serious wounding committed on an 18-year-old gold miner from Return, Baramita, North West District by three known suspects.

According to reports, the incident occurred on February 12, 2021 at Five Star Landing North West District.

He received slashes on his face, jaw, arm, palm and deep wounds about his body.

About 10:30 hours the victim was taken to the Port Kaituma Hospital by public spirited persons. There he was seen and examined by a doctor on duty and later referred to Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation for further medical attention.

His condition is listed as serious but stable. Investigations are continuing.
