In a heartwarming ceremony that celebrated academic excellence and a  dedication to education, fourteen deserving students were granted bursaries through the Peter D’Aguiar’s Scholarship Bursary Awards. The event took place at the Banks DIH Sports Club on August 26, 2023, and  saw the convergence of proud parents, company employees, shareholders, and executives who came  together to honor the accomplished recipients.

The five-year award program stands as a testament to the company’s unwavering commitment to  fostering education and supporting the community. This program provided valuable financial assistance  to students who displayed exceptional dedication to their studies. The awardees are selected from among  the top twenty high-performing candidates, including both employees and stakeholders’ children.

During his featured address, Mr. Shabir Hussein, Engineering Services Director, extended his heartfelt  congratulations to the students, encouraging them to remain humble and continuously strive for  excellence. He emphasized the company’s commitment to offering future opportunities as they continue  to develop and grow.

The Peter D’Aguiar’s Scholarship Fund has been benefiting the children of employees and stakeholders  for several years. A previous scholarship recipient felt compelled to give back this year, making a donation  of her own to support the children of current employees. This scholarship symbolizes the company’s  profound belief in nurturing talent, fostering aspirations, and enabling young individuals to make a  positive impact on society. At Banks DIH Limited, we firmly believe that the bursary award serves as a  reminder that qualities such as hard work, dedication, and a thirst for knowledge are deserving of  celebration and reward.
