Executive of the Guyana Olympic Association committed to access to sporting opportunities and improved performance.

The Executive Committee of the Guyana Olympic Committee recently re-affirmed its commitment towards laying the foundation for better performances by Guyanese athletes which is intrinsically linked to the capacity building of Coaches in the various disciplines.

In this regard, the Committee is pleased to announce that Mr. Tyson English, a Weightlifting Coach, has recently successfully attended and completed the International Coaching Enrichment Certificate Programme. A total of 40 international coaches would have enlisted with 30 successfully completing same. This programme was in partnership with the USOC, USPC, University of Delaware and Olympic Solidarity.
