Police investigating accident on Hydronie Public Road, East Bank

Police have reported a serious accident which occurred on Monday 19th June, 2023 about 02:40hrs on Hydronie Public Road, East Bank.

Enquiries disclosed that 21-year-old David Simon Isaacs of lot 486 Peter Street, Parika, East Bank Essequibo was proceeding on the public road at a fast rate of speed when he collided with a 45-year-old pedal cyclist Lloyd Garraway of lot 1801 Parika, East Bank Essequibo who road across the road.

The victim was picked up in an unconscious condition, and taken to the Leonora Cottage Hospital where he was admitted as a patient. However, he succumbed to his injuries today.

A breath analysis test was done on the driver of the motorcar and readings were 0% micrograms. Notice of intended prosecution served. Investigation in progress.
