Managing a learning pod is not easy work, especially if one wants to do it well.  Managing a learning pod means inspiring children with a culture of confidence, maneuvering them through Maths, English and Science lesson plans weekly, preparing them to learn coding and robotics, exposing them to a whole new world of technology and ensuring that their educational gaps are closed, bit by bit until they are caught up or surpass their grade level.

Ms Sharmala Singh of Lake Mainstay Learning pod does all of this well.  When asked about her secret for success, she simply states that she loves teaching and she loves children.  But professionals know that it takes much more than those attributes to be not just good, but excellent in the role of teacher and in the role of Learning pod coach.

Ms Singh excels in ways too many to mention.  First it is clear that she loves her community of Lake Mainstay–whether representing for Heritage celebration or ensuring that her students participate in an international robotics competition or an awards banquet at the Marriott Hotel, she steps forward with confidence and she participates enthusiastically and this same energy is apparent in the children whom she continues to mentors.

Sharmala Singh is a credit to Lake Mainstay, a credit to the Learning pods program and a credit to our great nation.  We are proud of you Ms Singh.  Keep up the good work and keep representing excellence for Lake Mainstay.
