Opposition Member of Parliament, Geeta Chandan-Edmond has been appointed General Secretary of the People’s National Congress Reform (PNCR), effectively replacing PNCR stalwart, Amna Ally.
Village Voice News was reliably informed that Chandan-Edmond – a former Magistrate – received her Letter of Appointment today, January 5. When contacted she said an official announcement is likely to be made soonest. “The General Secretary is appointed by the Leader,” Chandan-Edmond said.
Chandan-Edmond will serve under the Leadership of Aubrey Norton, who was last December elected Leader of the PNCR. He is being backed by a Central Executive, comprising Shurwayne Holder, Chairman; Elizabeth Niles; 1st Vice Chairman; Christopher Jones and Vinceroy Jordan, Vice Chairmen; and Treasurer, Mohammed Faaiz Mursaline along with 15 others.
