La Belle Alliance man charged with possession of narcotics

…granted $400,000 bail

A 23-year-old La Belle Alliance, Essequibo Coast man who was arrested on Monday, January 13, 2021 and subsequently charged with possession of narcotics for the purpose of trafficking has been granted bail in the sum of $400,000.

The man appeared before Magistrate D. Bess at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court on January 15, where he pleaded not guilty to the crime.

The matter has since been transferred to the Kamarang Magistrates’ Court.
