Dear Editor

Since the President announced his appointment of two Senior Counsel Mr. Anil Nandlall and Mr. Timothy Jonas, I managed to privately congratulate Mr. Nandlall and now I congratulate both these outstanding Guyanese publicly. They are both well deserving candidates. I am sure all Guyanese endorse this step.

I believe there is another very outstanding lawyer who is just as deserving but was not considered at this time. That is Mr. Nigel Hughes, he is one of the better lawyers in this country and is a deserving candidate for Senior Counsel.

I look forward to seeing him so recognised in the near future.

I know it is a bit late but congrats once more to Mr. Nandlall and Mr. Jonas. And I look forward in congratulating Mr. Huges in the not too distant future.

Sincerely

Donald Ramotar
