A 20-year-old labourer of Parika, East Bank Essequibo(EBE) was on Saturday arrested by police after he was found with 3.3 grams of cannabis in three ziplock bags on the Parika Public Road, EBE.
Police said that at about 21:48h ranks during a foot patrol exercise on the Parika Public Road observed the labourer acting in a suspicious manner. A search was subsequently carried out on his person and the illegal substance was found in his left boot.
The labourer is being processed for court.
