About 18:40 hours last evening, the wife said she got worried about her husband’s wellbeing and whereabouts, since he didn’t return home. She then contacted a family friend who immediately dispatched a search party, about 19:15 hours. Upon making checks Wilson’s lifeless body was found floating face downwards in a creek to the western side of farm.

The search party contacted the family of the deceased who removed his body from the creek and summoned the Police to the scene. No marks of violence were seen on the exposed parts of the body.

Maurice’s body was then taken to the West Demerara Regional Hospital, where he was examined by the doctor on duty who pronounced him dead.
